12-7-12

I’ll never forget taking classes at Dallas Theological Seminary from Dr. J. Dwight Pentecost. It was six year ago to the date that he ended his class discussion by informing us that December 7, 1941 was a day of infamy for two reasons: The bombing or Pearl Harbor, and the day he was ordained. I always loved his sense of humor…

Today, let us honor those who lost their lives 71 years ago, thanking God for the freedom He has continued to bestow upon our country. Secondly, let us thank God that He is the founder of all new church starts, and let us ask Him to use Lakeview in such a way that the people of Woodbury and the greater Twin Cities Metro Area are drawn to Him. May this new work get off the ground so quickly, and be so influential, that there is no doubt in anyone’s mind that this was something only God could do.
